Service was amazing Braylon remembered us from when we would eat at the naturalist bar and already knew our order all he had to do was confirm with us he also let us know how the food would have a wait time because there was newer chefs back there. he was amazing shout out to him!!! Also food was bomb definitely recommend the fried calamari lol.
Loved this place! After spending two months with my loved one being in MDA Anderson, I took a break for a late lunch with a friend at Safina located in the Intercontinental Hotel. What a great place to relax with great food and great service. I will definitely visit this restaurant again!! Particularly would like to compliment our waiter, Raffy. He was very attentive and we never had to ask for one thing. We enjoyed all of the staff doting over us!
The service at this restaurant is what truly sets it apart it’s the best I’ve experienced in a long time. Anthony, the restaurant manager, personally called me back after I reached out through the hotel reception to make a reservation, and he even guided me to parking. He and our server, Eve, went above and beyond, anticipating my requests before I even had to ask. I can’t praise them enough. Beyond the outstanding service, the food was amazing. I was salivating at every bite and the atmosphere was classy and elegant throughout. This was easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time, and I’ll definitely be back.
We visited Safina at the InterContinental Houston Medical Center on March 27, 2026, and the experience delivered across the board. The standout, without question, was the short rib. I don’t say this lightly, it was one of the best short ribs I’ve ever had. Perfectly tender, rich without being heavy, and paired with potatoes and delicate heirloom tomatoes that tied everything together beautifully. Simple dish, executed at a very high level. The ribeye was also solid, well cooked, properly seasoned, and exactly what you want when you order a steak. No complaints there. Service was where things really elevated. Angelita led the table with professionalism, but I’ve got to give a special shoutout to Pablo, he took great care of us throughout the night and made the experience feel smooth, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. There was also additional support staff involved, and the whole team worked seamlessly together, which you don’t always see. Overall, this is a place that understands both food and hospitality. Strong kitchen, strong service, and an experience that actually sticks with you after you leave. We’ll definitely be back.

I recently dined at Safina Restaurant in Houston, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. The food was absolutely amazing—every dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into both the quality and presentation of the meals. What truly made the evening exceptional, however, was the service. Raffy provided some of the best customer service I’ve experienced in a long time. He was attentive, professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. His recommendations were excellent, and he made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued as guests. Great food can bring you in, but extraordinary service keeps you coming back. Thanks to Raffy and the entire team, this was a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend Safina Restaurant and will definitely be returning.

The salad was delicious, and the meat was perfect. I really liked Briceyda; she gave me a warm and friendly feeling. Overall, I loved both the food and the service. I would definitely choose this restaurant again if I come back to Houston.
Our meal was spectacular tonight at Safina. Our waitress was Angelita and she made everything incredibly special. Service was five star and above. The food preparation and flavors are incredible. My husband and I are staying at the Intercontinental Hotel and decided to try Safina Restaurant upon our arrival. We had a 10-star experience! Our server, Braylon, was the most incredible server we’ve had in a long time! He gave us recommendations, was conversational, was kind, and truly cared about our experience. I can’t recommend him highly enough! We had the Texas Wagyu Sandwich and the Seafood Linguine. We also had cinnamon churros. Safina was amazing and we are grateful!
